Education and Training
Thelma received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from California State University, Pomona. Her education included International studies in France, at the Sorbonne University of Paris; in Italy, at the Poly-Technical University of Milan; in Greece at the Poly-Technical University of Athens; and in Mexico at the Ibero-Americana University in Mexico City.
Work Experience
As Project Director and Senior Designer, Thelma has led numerous large, international development efforts, including multiple Theme Park Project Developments in Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. Work includes confidential projects for three largest Movie Studios in Hollywood.
Thelma’s success as Project Director and Designer is founded on her technical background in Architecture, Construction Management and Real Estate Development of Public/Private ventures as well as her Design Training in Architecture. This combined experience allows her to maintain a level interest on all sides of the project equation, Design, Cost and goals of the final product. Such background has proven essential in the effective management of design and development efforts of complex large-scale projects.
Thelma’s multidisciplinary experience includes Themed Environments, Entertainments Venues, Hospitality, Retail, Commercial, Transportation, Civic, Medical, Education, Multi-Family Residential and Public/Private Development Ventures.
Thelma has worked with some of the most prestigious architecture and engineering groups in the U.S., including Ellerbe Becket, HNTB, and Gensler, as well as leading innovative Public Private Development teams, while at Civic Partners, in Newport Beach CA.
